the rites
Nu Healing Arts is the offspring and integration of all the transformative learnings on my personal journey as a healing arts practitioner. I have met a host of elders, mentors, guides, and supporters of many traditions who have taught me to use plants, words, and imagination to restore wholeness to the community. Each one teach one.

Education & Training
I attended Jackson State University in MS where I studied Psychology & Fine Art (ceramics). My work in healthcare started as an art therapist in Virginia and after working several years with adolescents and adults in public schools, detention centers, and acute psychiatric settings in the DC Metro area, realized that I wanted to supplement my healing arts practice with a more comprehensive, holistic approach to care. This led me to Tai Sophia Institute (MUIH) where I was able to deepen my work in the healing arts by studying acupuncture and chinese herbal medicine. I am currently a licensed acupuncturist in the States of Wisconsin and Maryland.
