the intersection of healing & creative arts
Nu Healing Arts was created to offer clients and communities an engaging wholistic health experience. I truly believe that the healing process is a mirror image of the creative process. It is my goal to offer services that reflect the best of both worlds, whether in the treatment room, on a plant walk in the garden, or at one of my creative arts workshops. Please join us for the Nu Healing Arts experience!

Acupuncture/ Moxibustion
Acupuncture is simultaneously art and science. The practitioner becomes a lifelong student of the body, mind, and spirit.
With proper diagnosis + needle technique + clear intention in the hands of a qualified practitioner, these needles can shift your health paradigm and change your entire relationship to self.
Moxibustion, the sister of acupuncture, is an amazing heat+herbs induced therapy used primarily by acupuncturists to treat a wide range of internal and external conditions. Ancient traditions of moxibustion and similar heat+herbs induced therapies can be found among indigenous peoples around the world, with those most developed and systematized in modern times stemming from Japan and China. Moxibustion is literally the bridge where acupuncture channel theory meets body/mind meets plant medicine.
We’ve been duped into accepting a limited understanding of what the human body is capable of, including its innate self healing capabilities. You’re more powerful than you can imagine.
AcuMoxa works.
Herbs
Herbal medicine is simultaneously art and science. The practitioner becomes attuned to the inseparable bond between self and the flora of the natural world surrounding them. There is an intangible something in the plant that resonates with the intangible something in the person. Combine this with what the generations of oral histories, classical texts and modern research say the plant is useful for. This is where art and science meet. Herbalists and plant workers since the dawn of humanity have observed that characteristics such as the color, shape and part of a plant is helpful in knowing what system in the body it corresponds to or has an affinity and resonance with.
Working with plants on this level provides much contextual information that is useful when crafting a formula for someone. With proper diagnosis and method + clear intention a qualified practitioner can help you identify plant medicines that will shift not only your relationship to chronic pain and illness, but to the wonders and powers of the natural world as well.
